Will Grayson, Will Grayson Book Review

Will Grayson, Will Grayson Book Review

I am so sorry for being quiet recently. I finished Will Grayson, Will Grayson a while ago I just never updated Goodreads.

Here is what it is about!

Will Grayson meets Will Grayson. One cold night, in a most unlikely corner of Chicago, two strangers are about to cross paths. From that moment on, their world will collide and Iives intertwine.

It’s not that far from Evanston to Naperville, but Chiacago suburbanites Will Grayson and Will Grayson might as well live on different planets. When fate delivers them both to the same surprising crossroads, the Will Graysons find their lives overlapping and hurtling in new and unexpected directions. With a push from friends new and old – including the massive, and massively fabulous, Tiny Cooper, offensive lineman and musical theater auteur extraordinaire – Will and Will begin building toward respective romantic turns-of-heart and the epic production of history’s most awesome high school musical.

Here is my review!

This was a really cool concept and story. I really enjoyed the writing and the characters were extremely realistic. You could feel their pain and understand it. Will Grayson (the negative one) was a really interesting character. At some points, he seemed a little unrealistic because he was so complicated.

Will Grayson, (Tiny’s best friend) wasn’t my favorite character, and I found myself rushing through his part to get back to the other Will Grayson a few times. Mainly because of the things going on in the other Will Grayson’s story. A couple times I found myself mixing up the two Will Graysons. I felt the authors could have prevented that.

I really enjoyed the Hold Me Closer part of the story and Tiny Cooper was sometimes funny.

All in all 4/5!

Now for the quotes of the day!

“i do not say ‘good-bye.’ i believe that’s one of the bullshittiest words ever invented. it’s not like you’re given the choice to say ‘bad-bye’ or ‘awful-bye’ or ‘couldn’t-care-less-about-you-bye.’ every time you leave, it’s supposed to be a good one. well, i don’t believe in that. i believe against that.”
David Levithan, Will Grayson, Will Grayson

“Maybe there’s something you’re afraid to say, or someone you’re afraid to love, or somewhere you’re afraid to go. It’s gonna hurt. It’s gonna hurt because it matters.”
John Green, Will Grayson, Will Grayson
